Colorado educators implemented the Colorado READ Act, designed to improve literacy through grade 3.

Across the state, supplemental and intervention programs grounded in the science of reading are proving effective in accelerating students’ development of literacy skills. Research-proven programs can help educators reach state literacy goals by providing actionable, real-time data to teachers, school administrators, and district administrators.

During the 2025–2026 school year, Core5 supported approximately 86,300 pre-K–5 students across 500 schools in Colorado. Colorado student performance speaks for itself. Of the 29,479 students who engaged with the program with fidelity:

• 90% of students were working on material in or above their grade level by year’s end
• The percentage of students below grade level dropped from 51% to 10%
• 59% of Colorado students achieved their end-of-year, grade-level benchmarks
