Lexia® Core5® Reading continues to drive measurable progress for students across the United States. During the 2024–2025 school year, 3.8 million students and more than 226,000 educators in 18,700 schools used Core5 to build foundational skills, close literacy gaps, and support equitable reading outcomes.
Students made significant gains. The percentage of students working at or above grade level more than doubled, increasing from 41% to 83%. Among those who began the year two or more grade levels behind, 54% advanced at least two grade levels in a single school year. In total, students completed more than 3.9 million skills and Skill Checks, and educators delivered nearly 4.8 million Lexia Lessons® and Lexia Skill Builders®.
Core5 is grounded in research. The program is supported by 14 peer-reviewed published studies, five of which hold Tier 1 (Strong) ratings based on ESSA criteria. Study effect sizes range from 0.06 to 0.53. Educator feedback remains strong, with 93% reporting Core5 helps them deliver more targeted instruction and 82% saying it improves their ability to evaluate student needs.
