Educational Leadership Council (ELC)
The Educational Leadership Council (ELC) is a diverse and representative group of leading researchers and thought leaders in the areas of literacy and language curriculum, assessment, and professional learning. They also understand the current challenges and opportunities facing K-12 educators and students.
The purpose of the ELC is to serve as an advisory board on topics related to best practices and implementation of edtech in the areas of listening, speaking, reading, and writing—informed by the Science of Reading and viewed through the lenses of equity, culturally sustaining pedagogy, and the historically underserved. The Council will focus on discussions around the enhancement of our partnerships with schools and districts, the development of effective products and services, and strategies for innovation based on current research.
