Lexia English Language Development Efficacy Research 2025

Lexia® English Language Development™ is an Adaptive Blended Learning program designed to support the English language proficiency of English Learners in grades K–6. 

The program frames English language learning as an opportunity for students to become bilingual or multilingual and to achieve success in their academic life. As the number of multilingual students continues to increase nationwide, educators and district administrators need smarter ways to ensure better academic outcomes for every learner. This state-of-the-art English language learning solution was created to help multilingual learners reach their academic potential and is designed from an asset-based orientation. Lexia® is dedicated to conducting rigorous scientific research to demonstrate the efficacy of its programs. 

This document summarizes seven research studies that provide an evidence base establishing the efficacy of Lexia English. Included are two peer-reviewed publications and five research briefs. All seven of these studies meet the second highest tier of evidence for an educational intervention described by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). The studies summarized in this report constitute the evidence base for Lexia English, providing robust and diverse evidence that Lexia English is effective at improving literacy outcomes for multilingual students.
