Plain Talk 2025: Lexia’s Road Trip Through the Science of Reading

In March 2025, Lexia® wowed attendees at the Plain Talk About Literacy and Learning Conference with a festive atmosphere and engaging learning opportunities.

At the 30th anniversary of the conference, the vibe was celebratory as attendees navigated a new experience debuted by Lexia: “Your Journey Through the Science of Reading.” Attendees received maps that showed the route they would take through several experiences, including “Discovering New Terrain,” “Gaining Momentum,” and “Nearing Mastery.” 

Engaging with staff at each Lexia booth, participants received a sticker at each stage before proceeding. Purple jeeps symbolized the journey, with mini-jeeps available as freebies, and a full-sized Jeep present in the room. The Hospitality Suite, hosted by Lexia, was adorned with traffic-light centerpieces, adding to the sense of adventure.

Attendees also joined seminars about Lexia products like Lexia® Core5® Reading, Lexia® PowerUp Literacy®, and Lexia® LETRS® Professional Learning to learn about how each of these platforms is dramatically improving student literacy scores around the nation. For those new to the science of reading, presenters showed how evidence-based literacy education has cracked the code on teaching students how to read.
