Empower Leaders to Transform Literacy in Michigan

Michigan’s school districts need professional learning that empowers their leaders, meets state requirements, and accelerates learning gains. Lexia® LETRS® and Lexia Aspire® Professional Learning offer this training, building districts’ capacity to improve reading instruction and student outcomes.

This resource explores the benefits of LETRS and Aspire for Michigan’s administrators, instructional coaches, and K–12 literacy leaders. It highlights the importance of professional learning and the ways that Lexia’s programs maximize this value.

LETRS offers science of reading-based professional development for pre-K–5 educators, focusing on the fundamentals of reading and writing instruction:

• Phonological awareness

• Phonics

• Fluency

• Vocabulary

• Comprehension

• Written language

Aspire provides this training for upper elementary through high school educators. The program uses International Dyslexia Association (IDA)-accredited lessons that empower all educators to accelerate literacy skills.
