Funding Your Fall Professional Learning

The depth of expertise required to apply science of reading-based practices in the classroom is only built through sustained professional learning. But every year, school leaders struggle to find funding for professional development and other resources that will yield measurable learning outcomes for their students. 

Many funding opportunities are left untapped because the path to accessing that financing is unclear or feels inaccessible. That includes the grants available for improving educator quality and effectiveness through Part A of the Title II program, also known as Title II-A. 

The purpose of Title II-A is to provide equitable access to excellent instruction, so those funds are broadly available for educators across multiple designations. In addition, Title II-A funds can be combined with monies from other grants such as Title I grants.
