State lawmakers get firsthand look at impact Act 20 is having in Wisconsin schools

In response to the passage of Act 20, which aimed to improve early literacy rates for students before fourth grade, educators at Chappell Elementary School implemented Lexia® Core5® Reading. Lawmakers were able to visit classrooms to see results. 

“I was really impressed with what they’re doing here and the leadership that their administration and principals are showing. You know, and it was just great to see the kids so engaged and enthusiastic about learning to read,” Republican Assemblyman Joel Kitchens said.
