Michigan Department of Education calls for stricter science of reading mandate

The Michigan Department of Education is requesting the state take its mandates for science of reading a step further to support schools in literacy growth. One of its proposals includes requiring every elementary school teacher to complete Lexia® LETRS® training in order to be proficient in teaching the science of reading.
