Summer Literacy Strategies: Engage and Empower Your Students and Educators
With a wrap on the school year rapidly approaching, now is the time for educators and parents to prepare for students’ continued learning during the summer months.
Lexia® Customer Success Manager Melody Herscher and Regional Success Manager Shawn Bybee are here to help with this webinar devoted to keeping students engaged and enhancing their literacy skills whether in summer school or at home.
School administrators will learn important strategies and best practices to prepare for summer school with Lexia products while educators can review at-home resources to provide students and their families.
Some strategies administrators can start with include:
• Completing the Getting Started for Leaders guide for products to be implemented. The guide is designed to define specific expectations about two of the most important aspects of implementation: Consistency and fidelity.
• Ensure educators have access to Lexia’s Summer School Toolkits for Educators, providing essential resources for implementation.
• Get immersed in the recently launched Lexia Community Center. This hub, for you and your educators, features forums, various ways to ask questions about Lexia products, connect with other educators, and more.
• Support families by introducing them to Lexia’s Family Resource page for creative ideas about improving literacy at home.
For teachers, at-home resources to share include Home Use Letters for Lexia® Core5® Reading, Lexia® PowerUp Literacy®, and Lexia English Language Development™. Additionally, At Home Activity Sheets include seven ways to engage students away from the classroom.
Don’t delay. Check out this webinar to kick-start your planning for student success in the summer.
