Maximizing Academic Success for Georgia's Students Before Grade 3
School leaders in Georgia are accelerating literacy learning for their students with the help of Lexia® Core5® Reading.
This infographic highlights research showing that Georgia charter school students who consistently used Core5, a research-proven program built on the science of reading, tended to achieve much higher scores on the NWEA MAP Growth assessment.
The research found that 78% of students who reached the Core5 end-of-year benchmark were also proficient on MAP Growth.
The infographic also shows how Core5’s adaptive blended learning model makes it easy to tailor instruction to address individual strengths and areas for improvement according to each student’s MAP Growth RIT results.
Core5 accelerates the development of literacy skills for pre-K–5 students of all abilities, helping them make the critical shift from learning to read to reading to learn. The program aligns with Georgia’s English Language Arts standards. Additionally, the Georgia Department of Education’s Dyslexia Handbook references Core5 as a dyslexia intervention.
“Of all the technology my students have available to them, Core5 is the one program my students don’t grumble about using,” said Catherin Raffety, a teacher at Garden City Elementary School in Georgia. “The program is colorful, engaging, and motivating. My students love to reach new levels.”
