Impact of Using Lexia English in Arizona
This research brief describes the relationship between use of Lexia English and growth on the Arizona English-Language Learner Assessment (AZELLA) from 2020-2021. Data come from 603 emergent bilinguals in grades 1-6 across 16 schools in Arizona. Results show that Lexia English users showed greater growth than non-Lexia English users on the overall AZELLA, as well as across all subdomains of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The largest effects were seen for speaking and reading.
