What’s New in the Lexia LETRS Suite?
The Lexia® LETRS® Suite is expanding: This year, we launched Lexia® LETRS® Connect™—a digital learning experience to further empower educators. Built to support graduates in deepening their understanding of the science of reading, LETRS Connect offers an enhanced resource library, modeling videos, planning tools, and access to periodic events with experts. This ongoing learning extends science of reading expertise, enhances teacher effectiveness, and keeps literacy learning alive in the long term.
New to LETRS? You’re in good hands: First-time participants will receive an interactive guide when they log in. It walks educators through the platform to help them navigate their course. Course managers also experience a custom guide to explore the tools for effective implementation.
More Robust Assessment Questions: LETRS now offers a stronger question bank that helps educators deepen their understanding, reflect more meaningfully, and apply learning with greater confidence in real classroom settings.
What’s New in Lexia Aspire Professional Learning?
More dynamic, action-oriented resources: Along with 20 new classroom videos, and 16 new key concept and strategy videos, Lexia Aspire® Professional Learning now includes 60+ new Bridge-to-Application resources! This provides more accessible, practical modeling for upper elementary through high school and supports transfer from PL to practice.
Personalized learning pathways for every educator: District and school leaders can now streamline their educators’ Aspire experience with ready-made pathways aligned with implementation best practices. For added flexibility, course managers can also customize pathways to fit specific educator needs! Educators stay engaged and on track with this new balance of structure and customization, and administrators can more easily track growth and progress while adapting learning journeys as needed.
Measure growth and celebrate achievements: Aspire now includes optional posttests to see how far educators have come in the learning journey. These posttests provide targeted tools for coaching and admin support, demonstrate Return on Investment (ROI), and empower implementation leadership.
What’s New in Lexia Core5 Reading?
Enhanced autoplacement experience: We’ve added engaging new visuals and informative audio, including enhanced Language Support audio—before and directly after the completion of placement—so learners clearly understand what to expect. This strengthens the experience for young/emergent readers, boosts accuracy and student confidence, and streamlines onboarding.
Data-driven updates to skills: Skill Checks have been refined using data-driven insights to boost student engagement while preserving assessment accuracy.
Audio updates to passage fluency units: The updated intro and directional audio in Passage Fluency activities provide concise guidance and a more streamlined experience for learners.
Core5 Accessibility Enhancements: Recent enhancements make Lexia® Core5® Reading more accessible, inclusive, and user-friendly for all learners. These updates include incremental improvements to keyboard navigation for easier and more intuitive movement through the program, significant upgrades to color contrast to improve readability, and additional support for sensory characteristics to help ensure every student can engage meaningfully with the content, reducing barriers to districtwide rollout.
New instructional resources: Educators can make use of updated Comprehension and Vocabulary Lexia Lessons®. The new format aligns with the science of reading and research-based practices. Similarly, these updates include expanded language accessibility with the addition of Bengali translations for several key caregiver materials, ensuring more families can stay informed and engaged.
What’s New in Lexia English Language Development?
Updated student dashboard: Enjoy easier student progress monitoring with the updated student dashboard in Lexia English Language Development™. Stay informed of student advancement with the new display that clearly shows the weekly units and time students have completed. Keeping students motivated by providing clear updates on their progress, these enhancements help students stay engaged and focused throughout their learning journey.
Improving the learning experience: Three new updates bring greater personalization, accessibility, and effectiveness. These include enhancing accessibility through new Spanish language support, strengthening connection between students and their avatars through personalized login confirmations, and data-driven learning improvements for the Grammar, Listening, and Presentation of Knowledge units.
Accessibility and performance enhancements: Learners now enjoy full keyboard navigation, integrated volume control, and enhanced speech recognition. These updates provide enhanced accessibility, accuracy, reliability, and performance.
New updates for the Resource Hub: We’ve updated the Lexia English Resources Hub to help make instructional planning easier and ensure educators have the tools needed to effectively monitor and support student learning. Take note of updated PDF Listening Lessons across five levels, a refreshed Passage Reference Guide, more detailed District and School Overviews, and an updated Teacher’s Manual.
What’s New with Lexia PowerUp Literacy?
New unit goals: Students now have weekly Unit Goals that display directly on the Home Screen- encouraging them to meet —and strive to exceed—their unit goals on their way to improving their reading proficiency.
Flexible strand management option: Educators have the ability to turn off automatic strand management, ensuring all learning units remain active even after students meet their weekly usage goals. This added flexibility supports a wider range of instructional models and implementation strategies.
Boosting student engagement: Three new updates were added to create a more engaging, efficient, and motivating experience for students! These include dynamic background music, celebratory animations that offer positive reinforcement, and a convenient button that allows students to return to their last activity.
Engaging content and stronger vocabulary support: As part of the program’s commitment to delivering research-driven, student-centered literacy instruction, we’ve made a few key updates to strengthen comprehension and vocabulary support. Students will now have access to new passages, refreshed themes and updated artwork in Levels 2 and 4, and brand new Essential Vocabulary activities in Levels 7–15. These, along with changing the name of “Sight Words” to “High-Frequency Words,” integrate more content-area topics and meaningful vocabulary into the program.
Supporting all learners with accessibility enhancements: We are continuing to expand our support of WCAG accessibility standards through improved keyboard navigation, enhanced color contrast, and in-program volume control.
New login screen design: We introduced a unified login screen design that simplifies access across Core5, Lexia® PowerUp Literacy®, and Lexia English! This makes it easier to log in, navigate, and engage with instructional content.
