Kerri Larkin
Kerri Larkin knows the real challenges and joys of teaching because she has been in the classroom herself, teaching language arts and special education at Anacostia High School in Washington, D.C. From the very start, she realized the importance of educators working together to build a strong, inclusive community.
Larkin’s commitment to supporting fellow teachers led her to a role designing teacher-preparation programs with George Washington University.
With her additional expertise, Larkin rejoined DC Public Schools through the Master Educator program, where she led special education as the director of academic programs and senior deputy chief of specialized instruction. Throughout it all, Larkin always listened to teachers and championed their expertise.
Now, as Lexia’s Senior Education Advisor, she is focused on helping students become confident readers. She works closely with teachers and leaders across the country—listening to their experiences, sharing ideas, and helping teachers make meaningful changes in their classrooms every day.
The All For Literacy podcast isn’t about lectures or detached research jargon. It’s a place for honest conversations, real stories from educators, and practical strategies you can try right away. Whether you’re a teacher, school leader, or advocate, Larkin has been in your shoes. She listens carefully to educators’ experiences and shares their voices with care and respect.
