LETRS Professional Learning Lays the Foundation for District-Wide School Improvement
Two years ago, this district was looking for a way to raise their literacy framework to the next level and align it to the science of reading research. The science of reading provides teachers with the "why" and "how" behind effective reading instruction instead of simply focusing on "what" to teach. Through an investment in long-term teacher success supported by LETRS, K-5 educators experienced a course of professional learning unlike any they had been offered in the past and developed the deep science of reading knowledge they needed to help all students succeed.
