TELPAS and Lexia® English Language Development Correlation

Lexia English uses a cutting-edge speech recognition engine to provide students with immediate feedback on their speaking tasks. 

Using the adaptive blended learning model, teachers can view progress through the ELPS-aligned scope and sequence and provide targeted, teacher-led listening and speaking lessons to further support students when needed. Students gain confidence in speaking as they interact with 17 different characters with heritage languages of their own! 

The various speaking and listening tasks help students feel more prepared to take TELPAS as they engage in academic conversations and listening activities. While working in the Lexia English student program, students speak over 70% of the time.
