Access the STAAR Toolkit for Educators Grades 3-4-5

The Texas Education Agency has redesigned the STAAR exam to be implemented in the 2022-2023 school year. Lexia®has created a toolkit to ensure Texas students and educators are prepared for the STAAR redesign. 

The STAAR toolkits for grades 3-5 empower educators to continue the best practices of teaching, while spotlighting components of Core5®Reading that may prove helpful in readying students for the new format of the STAAR® exam, and providing creative hints and tips along the way.

The redesigned Reading Language Arts STAAR will be administered online, including more cross-curricular passages and seven new item types. In addition, the fourth-grade and seventh-grade writing assessments will be eliminated, while written response items will be integrated into the RLA assessment.
