Data compiled and analyzed by the Lexia® Research Team (research@lexialearning.com)

Assessment: NWEA MAP
Program: RAPID
Grades: K–6
Evaluation Period: 2016–2017

Key Findings
  • Significant moderate to high correlations across all grades’ fall, winter, and spring RAPID Reading Success Probabilities (RSP) and fall, winter, and spring Northwest Evaluation Association Measures of Academic Progress (NWEA MAP) Rasch Unit (RIT) scaled scores, indicating a strong, positive relationship between overall performance on RAPID and MAP across all time points.
  • Results across grades indicate a stronger relationship between student performance on MAP with the Vocabulary Knowledge (VKT), Syntactic Knowledge (SKT) and Reading Comprehension (RCT) tasks, and a weaker relationship with Word Recognition (WRT).
