Installing More Than One Lexia Product on Mac OS 10.4.x

Description:

If more than one Lexia Reading product is installed on a Mac OS 10.4.x, all the installations after the first installation do not complete and show an error message. If the user tries to run these installations, there will not be any sound.

Solution:

The installation is most likely complete except for sound files and the required locking of the executables (program files).

  1. Copy sound file folders from the CD to the installation by hand. To do this, browse the CD to find the Components folder (you may need to scroll down in the finder to see it). Open the Options folder inside, and then open the Sound folder inside of Options. Copy the folders inside the Sound folder to the location where the product is installed on the hard drive (by default, this is Macintosh HD: Applications: Lexia Learning Systems: [product folder]: Sound.)
  2. Lock the program files by highlighting them and choosing Get Info from the File menu, and then checking the box labeled "Locked."
