Lexia's Admin Tool provides an easy way to import legacy student information into product upgrades. To import information, follow the steps below:
- Start the Lexia product and press 'Admin' at the signin screen.
- Select the 'Import/Export' tab in the Admin Tool.
- Select 'Import Lexia Records Folder' from the choices shown.
- Find the 'Records' folder from the older product that has been upgraded. Click 'OK' to select that folder.
- A list of available Students and Classes will appear. Choose the Students and/or Classes to import. To select multiple names, hold down the 'Ctrl' keyboard key (the Apple key on Macintosh OS) or the 'Shift' key to select a group of names.
- Press 'Finish' to complete the import.
Notes about imports:
- Imports from older Lexia products are Status Imports: only the most recent data from each activity is imported into the new program. Students will be able to continue from the point at which they finished working in older programs, but reports will only have data completed from the Import date forward.
- Lexia programs now require first name, last name, and userName entries. This is done automatically during imports of legacy products, but some side effects will be seen if students were not entered properly in older programs.
