In my network installation, why can only one user at a time can use a Lexia program?

Symptom

When a Lexia program is run within a network installation, an error message saying "File Not Open" or "File in Use" prevents users from entering an area of the program.

This symptom is usually encountered when the second user tries to enter a similar location of the Lexia program (sign in screen, activity menu, etc.)

Solution or Explanation

When Lexia programs are run within a network environment, it is essential that program files be locked. The only exceptions to this rule are the 'Records' folder and the 'Reports' folder (in newer product versions).
