Targeted Instruction
Lexia Reading provides targeted instructional strategies to help educators meet each student’s individual needs. Driven by Lexia’s Assessment Without Testing technology, the program:
- Prescribes an intensity of instruction
- Identifies and prioritizes students for small group or individual instruction
- Provides Lexia Lessons® to help educators address specific skill gaps
Lexia Lessons are explicit, structured lessons for direct skill instruction, enabling teachers or educator the ability to effectively deliver targeted instruction with fidelity.

Students requiring direct skill instruction are grouped by skill and prioritized by the number of times they have struggled on that skill. Teachers then can access structured lesson plans, which are linked directly from the reporting interface. These lessons are available on SMART® and Promethean® interactive whiteboards, as well as in printed formats.
