The Lexia Quick Reading Test® is a computerized reading assessment tool. The program quickly evaluates students’ decoding skills with real and non-words, and their ability to name letters and sight words automatically. A teacher or other adult administers the test to students individually in just 5 to 7 minutes.
The program generates reports that indicate a student’s strengths and weaknesses in specific skill areas. The reports allow the teacher to easily recognize the specific areas where practice or instruction is needed for an individual or groups of students. The Lexia Quick Reading Test also provides prescriptive information and recommends placement of students into the appropriate Lexia reading programs.
