True groupID Error

Solution:

Microsoft users that have a language package installed on their PC’s may find that they see the error containing “True groupID not found” (shown below) when they run Lexia Reading®.

Here are the steps to take that will allow you to run Lexia Reading successfully:

  1. Open the Control Panel.
  2. Switch to Classic View
  3. Double click on Regional and Language Options
  4. Click on the Advanced Tab
  5. In the pull down menu for Language for non-Unicode Programs select English (United States)
  6. Click Apply
  7. Click Yes when the system displays a box that says “The required files are already installed on your hard disk…”
  8. Click Yes when the system says “You must restart your computer before the new settings will take effect.”

Please note that this has been tested on an English version of the Windows XP system. If you follow the above steps, you will have to reinstall your other language to make the non-English programs run. To reinstall your language of choice, repeat the steps above. The only difference is that in step number 5 you need to select your desired language.
