Lexia Tech Note #201016

When you update Lexia Reading 6.0.2 to 7.0.x on Windows 7, the Lexia Reading icondoes not update to the new 7.0.x Lexia Reading icon

There is a 2 step process to fix this:

1. First:
   
   1. Go into Computer, into C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local
      NOTE: AppData is a hidden folder. If you do not see AppData, you need to click on Organize->Folder and Seach Options, select the View tab, and click on "Show Hidden Files and Folders"
   2. Delete the file IconCache.db
2. Second:
   
   1. Use Control-Alt-Delete to Start Task Manager
   2. Click on the Processes tab
   3. Select the "explorer.exe" process
   4. Right click and select "End Process"
      NOTE: Do not be alarmed – this will erase all the icons on your desktop. They will come back after you logoff and log back in.
   5. Close Task Manager
   6. Use Control-Alt-Delete to select Log off
   7. Log back in
   8. The Lexia Reading icon should now show as a blue "L" book
