Lexia Reading

  • Q: I do not want the student application to display full screen. Can I change it?
  • A: Please see the directions below.
  • Q: When I launch the student software, it displays in the upper right corner of the screen and some parts of the program are not visible. What can I do?
  • A: Some displays cannot show Lexia Reading fullscreen, which is the default setting. You can change the default setting by doing the following:

    1. Double-click on the Lexia Reading icon to launch the student software.
    2. Hold down the "a" and the "s" keys until the configuration screen displays.
    3. Under Additional Options - uncheck the Reset Monitor option and Save.

    1. Go to the Lexia\LLSCommon folder on the student machine and find login.ini.
    2. Use a text editor to open the file. If you are a Macintosh user, you must use the pico editor in the terminal window. (sudo pico drive:/path/Lexia/llscommon/login.ini)
    3. Change the settings you have to match what you see below:

      screen_size=notfullscreen

    4. Save the file.
    5. Launch the student application again to see the new display.
    6. Do this on each machine that you want to change.
