The following documentation will help you successfully implement Lexia Reading on the student and administrative level.

These documents will help you through the processes outlined on this page. You should print them out and keep them as a reference.

You will need to set up accounts for your students to use with Lexia Reading. This can be done online through the MyLexia website, or en masse by importing a new list of students or migrating existing Lexia users from older Lexia software. An import or migration will result in a file you can send to Lexia to bring into the system.

For Existing Lexia Users

Download the Lexia Data Migration Tool

Use this tool for migration of student information from previous Lexia products. Please create a separate file for each school you wish to migrate. Make sure you indicate which file goes with which school, and e-mail the files and your customer number to support@lexialearning.com.

For New Users

Student Account Import Templates
Tab-delimited file template for adding students. Open the file with Excel for easy editing. Please do not change or add to column headings and create a separate file for each school. Make sure you indicate which file goes with which school and include your customer number in an email to support@lexialearning.com. See Importing Student Information (pdf) for instructions.

After students have been set up with accounts, teacher accounts will need to be created. Once teacher accounts exist, classes can then be created and tied to one or more teachers, and students can be assigned to the classes. All of this is done through the MyLexia website. To begin, log into MyLexia:

MyLexia Login

  1. Create Schools
This applies to District Level users only.
  2. Create Teachers and Staff (import template)

You can create teachers one at a time or use the tab-delimited file template for adding teacher and staff accounts. Open the file with Excel for easy editing. Please do not change or add to column headings and create a separate file for each school. Make sure you indicate which file goes with which school and include your customer number in an email to support@lexialearning.com.
  3. Create Students
You will only need to create students if you have not imported or migrated students as detailed above.
  4. Create Classes
  5. Distribute User Information
Notify students and teachers how to use the software.

After students, teachers, and classes have been connected via the MyLexia website, you will need to roll out the student software to any machines the students will use to run Lexia Reading.
