MySQL Database Administrator (Concord, MA)

We are looking for a Database Administrator to join our Concord-based software team. You will be a significant contributor in a small team, focused on delivering great web-based services.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for day to day management of MySQL databases on Linux (RHEL) in a growing and dynamic environment
- Responsible for developing, tuning, and monitoring database environments to ensure performance and service delivery expectations are met
- Responsible for analyzing the current environment, crafting and implementing a robust HA solution
- Responsible for maintaining backup and recovery plans, implement and maintaining database security, perform capacity planning, and will be part of an on call rotation providing 24x7 support
- Work closely with the development group on database design and implementation
Required Experience and Skills
- 4+ years of experience in managing MySQL databases or related technologies
- Experience with MySQL 5.1 and understanding of different storage engines
- Extensive experience in physical/logical database design and MySQL performance tuning and monitoring
- Experience designing and building highly scalable, highly secure databases for data-driven web-based applications
- Experience implementing replication and stored procedures
- Must have knowledge in shell scripting PHP or other
- Excellent communication, writing, and teamwork abilities
- BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Additional Skills
- Linux system administration (preferred RHEL)
- Experience with partitioning, MySQL Cluster, and distributed databases
- Knowledge of OLTP and OLAP applications, data warehousing and reporting tools
- MySQL Performance tuning experience - RHEL preferred
