Technical Support Engineer (Inside and Field)

Lexia Learning Systems develops, sells and supports a suite of software products that aid in successful reading instruction. We also have products that develop visual-spatial and logical reasoning skills as students navigate through a series of games.
Lexia Learning Systems is looking for experienced software support engineers to be part of a growing team of in-house and field support personnel. We believe that having our support engineers work both inside our offices, out in the field, allows Lexia to deliver superior products. Lexia software support engineers identify, troubleshoot, research, support and resolve customer issues that come in through our toll free number and through e-mail. The pace is brisk and the ability to multi-task and work under pressure while remaining calm are critical. Clear written and verbal communication are essential. Qualified candidates should have prior experience in a support position and be comfortable working on both PC and Mac platforms. Familiarity with network installations is important and experience with Novell networks is a plus. Our engineers perform support remotely using tools such as Go2Assist and at times go out into the field and do on-site technical support. Travel is local, national and international (not required). Most of our installations are network installs in school buildings running Windows 98, Windows 2000\2003, Windows XP, Mac OS 9 and OSX.
